How to configure the Digium PRI cards in Asterisk or vicidial or Goautodial or vicidialnow or Freepbx<\/i><\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

Below are the list of digium cards to which you need to follow this blog<\/i>

\nStep 1: E1\/T1 mode<\/i>

First you need to check whether card is in E1 or T1 mode. Take card outside and check for the E1\/T1 changeover jumper in the card, if your PRI line is E1 then you need close the jumper , if T1 then it should be open. then insert the card into the server.<\/i><\/div>\n

Step 2: Card detected by server<\/i><\/div>\n

Make sure card is detected by server , type the following command in Linux shell<\/i><\/div>\n
lspci<\/div>\n

you should get the below output if the card is detected<\/i><\/div>\n

Step 3: configuring the card<\/i><\/div>\n

Once the card is detected type the below commands to autoconfigure the card<\/i><\/div>\n

dahdi_genconf -v<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
the above command will show the below results<\/i><\/div>\n

Default parameters from \/etc\/dahdi\/genconf_parameters<\/div>\n
Generating \/etc\/dahdi\/system.conf<\/div>\n
Generating \/etc\/asterisk\/dahdi-channels.conf<\/div>\n

Step 4: enabling the channels\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n

you need to enable the dahdi-channels.conf in asterisk conf files.<\/i><\/div>\n
open the file \u00a0\/etc\/asterisk\/chan_dahdi.conf \u00a0using vi editor as shown below<\/i><\/div>\n

vi \/etc\/asterisk\/chan_dahdi.conf<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
go to last line \u00a0and press o \u00a0and then add the below line<\/i><\/div>\n

#include dahdi-channels.conf<\/div>\n

save it and exit \u00a0ie: :wq<\/i><\/div>\n

Step 5: \u00a0Dahdi driver reloading<\/i><\/div>\n

Run the below command in asterisk cli<\/i><\/div>\n
to go to Asterisk cli type the below command<\/i><\/div>\n
asterisk -vvvvvvr<\/div>\n

and then type the blow commands in asterisk cli<\/i><\/div>\n
module unload chan_dahdi.so<\/div>\n
module load chan_dahdi.so<\/div>\n

Step 6; config confirmation<\/i><\/div>\n

To make sure all the configuration is perfect ,type the below command<\/i><\/div>\n

Step 7: Dialplan to dial via PRI<\/i><\/div>\n

If you are using Vicidial or Goautodial use the below dialplan to dial via PRI<\/i><\/div>\n

Create a Dahdi trunk, \u00a0with channel name as \u00a0g0, and then create outbound routes<\/i><\/div>\n
